Beth Feagan wrote a memoir of her childhood, HOMEPLACE, as her MA thesis at Longwood University, and a YA magical realism novel, THE MAD ONES, as her MFA thesis at Hollins University. She is currently shopping this novel around, seeking agent representation. She taught in the English Department at Longwood University and served as the Graduate Writing Tutor in the Writing Center at Hollins University from 2011 to 2013. She teaches writing at Berea College. She assisted the Kentucky Mountain Workshops Project as a writing coach in 2014 and 2015, and looks forward to helping again in the fall of 2016. An active member of MLA, ChLA, and IAFA, she has presented at each of these organization’s conferences. She is also a member of SCBWI. She is Creative Nonfiction co-editor for HeartWood, a literary journal in association with West Virginia Wesleyan.
