Beth Feagan wrote a memoir of her childhood, HOMEPLACE, as her MA thesis at Longwood University, and a YA magical realism novel, THE MAD ONES, as her MFA thesis at Hollins University. She teaches writing at Berea College. She has assisted the Kentucky Mountain Workshops Project as a writing coach since 2014. An active member of MLA, ChLA, and IAFA, she has presented at each of these organization’s conferences. She is also a member of SCBWI. She is Creative Nonfiction co-editor for HeartWood, a literary journal in association with West Virginia Wesleyan.
