I'm Monica Ramsey, Paducah native and lifetime lover of words. I graduated with a degree in news/editorial journalism from Western Kentucky University in 2013, having minored in creative writing. As a student, I spent all but one semester working for either the Talisman or the College Heights Herald - sometimes both - and finished my time in college as the Herald's editor-in-chief. I've got two journalism internships with the Army under my belt, as well as nearly two years as a reporter for the Bowling Green Daily News. I now work as a planner for the City-County Planning Commission of Warren County, but I haven't stopped writing. I keep a blog about marriage and body image and have had an essay and two short stories published. I'm newly married to an alumnus of WKU's broadcasting program.
