Scott McIntyre is a South Florida based independent photographer that focuses on documentary storytelling with an aesthetic draw. Since he's been in South Florida, Scott has photographed stories in the smallest communities to national stories in various parts of the country. Scott's main focus has been finding the people, places, and ideas that make South Florida the unique place that it is. Scott was most recently a staff photographer at the Naples Daily News (2011-2016) where he was named Photographer of the Year (small markets) in NPPA's 2016 Best of Photojournalism Contest where he was also named third place Photographer of the Year (small markets) in the 2014 and 2015 contest. His work has also been recognized by The Hearst Journalism Awards, Atlanta Photojournalism Conference, The Eddie Adams Workshop (Barnstorm 24 and Black Team for 25, 26, 28, and 29).
