I’m a freelance journalist, filmmaker and designer. I shoot, edit and produce documentary films, as well as design, code and write. You can find my work featured in such publications as National Geographic, The New York Times, The Atlantic, The Washington Post and Outside, among others.
I’m interested in stories that explore complex social and environmental issues, and dispatches that expose otherwise hidden worlds.
Previously, I worked at the international design firm IDEO, where I collaborated across a variety of disciplines on projects for The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Stanford University School of Medicine, UC San Francisco, Marie Stopes and The Hewlett Foundation, among others.
Before that I was an intern in the multimedia group at The New York Times, a Carnegie-Knight Journalism Fellow and the design lead for a Union Square Ventures-backed startup. I studied photojournalism and information systems at Syracuse University and graduated high school in three years. Whenever possible, I like exploring the wildness and wilderness of our world by headlamp.
